A self-report or a change in an explicitly permitted source gives Signal something to consider. One moment is not treated as a diagnosis.
You've had a difficult morning. You're home, feeling a little flat, and not really getting going.
This is what thoughtful, permission-based support could look like in an ordinary moment.

You have told Signal that music can sometimes help when you need a lift. You might simply tell it that today is a hard day, or allow it to use a small amount of context from sources you have chosen.
Speedo gives you a view of the direction you have been moving in. It is not a score of you, and it does not decide how you feel. Signly offers a simple question: “Would a familiar song help?”
You choose yes. If you have connected and authorised your music app or device, Signal can carry out that small action. The song is a possible SPIKE: a positive stimulus. If it helps, you may notice a SURGE in momentum. If it does not, nothing is forced and the system does not keep pushing.
“Would a familiar song help right now?”
An illustration of the experience, not a live prompt. These are different responsibilities working together. The person stays at the centre and every action remains bounded by permission.
A self-report or a change in an explicitly permitted source gives Signal something to consider. One moment is not treated as a diagnosis.
Spiral describes a downward pattern you want to interrupt. Speedo helps show movement over time against measures that make sense to you.
A familiar song is offered because you have said it may help. The suggestion is brief, optional and easy to decline.
If you accept, the authorised action can happen through a connected device. A suggestion is not treated as permission to act.
The system distinguishes what it suggested, what you chose, what actually happened and what was verified. It does not claim the song caused a change.
Signal does not infer your mood from a playlist or a single behaviour. Playing music requires a connected service and your permission. You can decline, pause or turn this kind of suggestion off.
The Speedo’s bounded output is designed to go to SOCme only. SOCme receives that indicator, not the underlying ambient stream, your private context or your song choice. It does not forward the Speedo output to other services or third parties.
